Client Profile

The primary focus over the past 8 years has been to work within the creative and voluntary sectors. I have undertaken a variety of multimedia projects for musicians, authors, performing artists, human rights groups, charities and community groups. This list presents some of the key projects I have undertaken working in various configurations – individually or as part of a larger team.

Opportunities Gateway – York St John University

York St John University

I have been commissioned by York St John University to create a web-presence for the Opportunities Gateway. At the moment we are defining an open ended framework for the website. This project is of particular interest to me as it addresses a very important issue – how can diverse audiences engage with the www in constructive contexts? In particular, how can the web-presence achieve some of the core-objectives of the Opportunities Gateway project, which are to encourage students to reflect on their experience whilst at university and to refine their professional and personal aspirations.

British Council, 2005 – 2009

British Council Young Creative Entrepreneurs

Working as part of an international team I developed the online framework (wireframes and interface design) for the International and UK Young Creative Entrepreneurs award programme (UKYCE/IYCE). This framework is used across all the awards websites and support key processes such as online application, finalist showcases and a comprehensive press and media centre.

Zubaan Books, 2004-2007

Zubaan Books

I developed a sustainable web-presence for Asia’s first feminist publication house. The entire catalogue was shifted online using a bespoke content management system, and over a period of 3 years a mailing list with over 15,000 subscribers was developed. I also delivered staff training to enable Zubaan staff to take charge of the online store, update content via the CMS and promote recent releases through the newsletter.

Embassy of Ireland, New Delhi 2002 – 2007

Working closely with the visa officers at the embassy in New Delhi I develop a system through which visitors from South-Asia region could source information and download forms for 10 different categories of visas to travel to Ireland. Over 250,000 visitors used the system over a period of 5 years. It was replaced by a generic central website developed by the department of foreign affairs in early 2008.

BBC World Service Trust, New Delhi 2004-2005

I developed a bi-lingual (Hindi/English) multimedia website for an award winning AIDS awareness programme produced by BBC. The programme was telecast on Doordarshan. The site was also used to conduct weekly quizzes and distribute information leaflets.

The2Project, 2003

The2Project

I produced an online musical project that featured a leading Indian classical musician and a Dutch electronic artist. The project received front-page new coverage in all Indian national dailies (Hindustan times, Times of India, Indian Express). It was also voted as single of the year and was featured on Radio 1 – Netherlands.
